Finale and Awards Celebration
More than 120 attendees joined together in celebrating the achievements of the 100+ organizations that competed. We mixed, mingled, and shared our favorite competition stories. Attendees were among the first to learn what participants accomplished over the course of a year’s dedication, and which organizations earned the top spot in their division. Sustainable Pittsburgh announced Top Savers in Energy, Water, Commuter Footprint, and Waste, and Top Legacy Savers in Energy and Water. We also announced the first-ever winner of the SP Challenge People’s Choice Award!
All participants, including schools in the K-12 Challenge and "Self-Performers," were invited to attend. You invited your sustainability team members and your organization's leadership to be part of the celebration. Green Mountain Energy hosted a table at the event and encouraged attendees to sign up to make the switch to renewable energy. Those who chatted at the table were entered into a drawing to win a Goal Zero Torch 250 Flashlight – an emergency LED light rechargeable via USB, solar power, or hand crank!
